just like your site I’m using WP. The brick-effect is simply javascript namely masonry.desandro.com
I just mangeled it into a custom theme (html5 boilerplate is a good starter).
Which cms you choose doesn’t really matter in my opinion, styling the outputted html can easily be done with css and javascript. In your case tho I’d stick with wp, eventho the image handling issn’t great, you obviously already have a site/database filled with posts and porting all of that (think post txt + img’s + tags etc.) over is pretty hard to do.

About your site: always fill in the alt-tag on images (search engines read/need ‘em ;) especially if your not using a proper(descriptive) file-name.
Second where on earth do you get all those images man, they’re awesome! I really love the coloring on ‘em. I guess it’s kodacfilm used but still there great. Keep up the good work, you’re bookmarked.

Hi there would you mind stating which blog platform you’re using? I’m looking to start my own blog soon but I’m having a difficult time making a decision between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something completely unique. P.S My apologies for being off-topic but I had to ask!
