Suppose you’ve been under a rock for the last year or so, you would’ve missed the whole story behind the immanent internet blackout. In a nutshell it will involve ISP’s having to blacklist you’re favorite sites at the whims of hollywood, through DNS redirects. Since all the DNS really does is just translating an IP adress into a domain name automagicly you could just still surf to those domains just by entering their ip adress directly into the adressbar of your browser.
So in order to help y’all here’s a small list of site’s that are on the short list of going dark. But to make life easier someone wrote a handy little plugin for firefox here. Of course us-congress already asked Mozilla to take it down. Which they refused :D but to help here’s the list.
